Gabrielli Design Studio, LLC, was founded to help explore, craft, and tell the new stories that are emerging in our culture. The signs of need are everywhere: economic havoc, social injustice, hunger, environmental degradation, violence, depression. These are visible aspects of the underlying problem, which is that our old cultural stories are no longer working.
Thankfully, a new way of being is taking shape. People everywhere are waking up to our creativity, imagination, and compassion. Through our work, we are telling new stories of belonging, connection, and humility. New perspectives can free us from fear for the future and regrets about the past.
We do our work in collaboration with architects, business consultants, craftspeople, artists, storytellers, and elders. We have been taught by wise mentors, wrestled with baffling questions, gotten lost in the weeds, and encountered rare bursts of clarity.
Full disclosure: we don’t have a lock on what this new story is. We have ideas from the past twenty years of work, study, and teaching. We actively cultivate our ability to pay attention, listen, and live with not knowing. We get very excited when we start to see patterns.
